APPOINTMENTS AND FEES

You do not need a referral to make an appointment.

Clinical psychology consultations are $190 per 60-minute session. Bulk-billing is available if you hold a Seniors Card or Health Care Card.

If you would like to seek a Medicare rebate, you need a referral via the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. Your GP, Paediatrician or psychiatrist will assess your eligibility for this scheme. If approved. they will prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan and provide you with a referral.

This entitles you to a partial rebate from Medicare (currently $124.50 per session) for up to ten sessions of therapy in one calendar year. For your convenience, we have facilities to process the Medicare rebate directly so you will not need to make a claim.

Private Health Fund rebate

Some private health insurers offer rebates for psychology therapy. If you are not eligible for a Medicare rebate, please contact your insurer for more information. This can also be useful, if you have already used your 10 annual Medicare sessions.

Payments

Accounts are payable on the day of your consult. We have EFTPOS facilities and also accept cash.

Late cancellations and no-shows are charged at the full rate. Please give at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. That way we can allocate the time to someone else in need of an appointment.

As a courtesy service, we email a reminder the day before your appointment however, it is your responsibility to remember the details of your appointment.
